Dining & Cuisine
China has one of the world’s great culinary traditions. Passengers will experience the joys of Chinese cuisine, expertly prepared with the highest quality fresh ingredients. Victoria’s award- winning dining experience is reflective of China’s evolving culinary landscape, with a fusion of western dishes.
Victoria’s food earns high marks from passengers, but we are always endeavoring to upgrade our dining. To introduce new dining concepts and menus, including additional western dishes and a la carte dining, Victoria hired award-winning celebrity chef and hospitality consultant Walter Staib as an advisor.
Our dining rooms have marvelous picture windows which invite the dramatic scenery of
the Yangtze indoors.
Passengers in superior cabins dine in the single-seating main Dynasty Dining Room, where Victoria serves sumptuous western and Chinese buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the Captain’s Farewell Banquet on the final night of the cruise.
We have also introduced optional a la carte dining for dinner in our ala carte restaurant on the Victoria Anna, Victoria Jenna, Victoria Katarina, Victoria Lianna, Victoria Sabrina, Victoria Selina and Victoria Sophia; on the Victoria Grace, a la carte dinner is offered in the Dynasty Dining Room. A la carte dining is available for a supplementary charge, and is included in the cruise cost for those booking suites and superior cabins with luxury amenities.
All passengers may enjoy early bird coffee each morning before breakfast, and the Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Reception before dinner on the first full day of the cruise.
During daily “Happy Hour”, enjoy your favorite cocktail at a discounted price in the Yangtze Club, as you unwind from the day’s activities. The legal drinking age on board Victoria Cruises Lines’ vessels is 18 years old.
If you have special dietary requirements, please advise us of your needs at time of booking.
Meal times will be posted in a daily events schedule distributed to each cabin.
